There really is a sun

We were blessed Saturday and Sunday with sunshine.  I know!  It's probably been over 10 days since we actually had sunshine last longer than just a few moments between cloud and rain.

Of course we had a lot of makeup baseball and softball to squeeze in so our weekend was busy.  But we managed to get some outside work done.  I weeded out the little area around my lilac tree, Jeffrey mowed the lawn and did some weed wacking, and we put the trampoline up.

I have had zero time to get any organization done around the house.  Heck, I'm barely getting dishes and laundry done let alone anything else.  This week we have baseball and softball every day this week and weekend. I took Friday off and Monday is the holiday so hopefully, I can get some work caught up.

It's raining and cloudy again.  No surprise huh!

It has been crazy busy this week with both kids starting ball.  Wednesday was super busy as it was the last day of CCD and I had to get gifts for the teachers, buy some groceries and get to a baseball game.  Luckily it was my half day and the organizational God's must have been smiling down on me.

Every year the last day of CCD catches me off guard.  The past few years was due to the kids receiving First Holy Communion.  Then Easter was the end of April and Communion was pushed back to this past Sunday.  With games and practices, I had to wait to Wednesday to get gifts and since I still had a gift card to a local florist's shop, I headed there first praying that they would have inexpensive plants/flowers for the teachers.  Yee haw!  I hit the jackpot as they had beautiful begonias for $4 each.  I purchased 3 of them and then stopped at Dollar General.  I was hoping to find cute cheery spring bags.  They had 3 green bags left and really nice tissue paper.  (Pictures to follow).

I thought the bags were so cheery and fun.  With all the rainy weather we've had, I wanted to give out some nice fun bags.  My son thought I was nuts taking pictures of the plants and bags.  But they were just so spring like and fun, I couldn't resist.  I just wish I could figure out how to work my camera better.  The pictures just aren't bright enough even with the flash on and all the lights on.  Oh well. Just cause you own an expensive dsl doesn't make you take better pictures!!

31 Days to Clean

I joined this challenge- because I'm not doing enough challenges right?  Today is suppose to be the first day, but they way they are setting it up, we will only be doing challenges/reading Mon through Friday.  Good thing because I haven't ordered the book yet.  My main computer is acting crazy.  I'm afraid to download my pictures (hence the photo less posts and lack of posts altogether the past few days) and I'm worried that the ebook will not down load.  If it doesn't I will try at work...sorry No 1 insurance company!

Today is also Divine Mercy and Pope John Paul II Beatification.  I fell in love with Saint Faustina when she was still in the process of being Beatified.  Our local churches have just recently begun celebrating Divine Mercy.  It's so fitting that Pope John Paul is being Beatified on this day as he was Pope when she became Beatified.  (Not sure if I said that right..).  It's a wonderful day indeed as our church (and others in the city) are also having First Holy Communion.  My cousin's little one received hers today.

I woke up sick today and stayed home.  Last thing I wanted to do was be around a lot of family members with my aches and chills. I am feeling better now since sleeping all day and should get some laundry done for the kids.

If anyone has stopped over from the 31 Days to Clean challenge and would like to be accountability partners, leave me a comment.  I find that I am motivated and more successful when I have a partner.  Well, we won't count my Bible Challenge, okay?
